Theory test cancelled because of a robbery
Those of you who have booked their theory test for tomorrow or the following days will have to contact the driving centre to rebook their exam. There was a robbery at the driving centre last night. You might have read about it in the papers, but here is a short summary of the events for those of you who have not heard of it. The examination room was prepared for the theory test that was supposed to take place the following morning. The centre was, unfortunately, broken into at 3 at night. The watchman was hit with a hard object and lost consciousness. He does not remember anything. The robbers stole the keys from his pocket and opened the door to the examination room. Then they took twelve screens, twelve panels and some other equipment. They also entered another room which was the office of the centre. There they found some cash and two computers. They also took those. There must have been at least three of them, the police say. One of the robbers might have been transporting the equipment to the car while the other two might have been searching the place. The theory test will not take place, of course, as well as other tests arranged for this week. New equipment must be bought first and an alarm system will also be installed.
